Shetland Library’s ‘People’s Network’ computers can be used by the public again from today, Tuesday 21 July.
The Learning Centre building - next to the main library on Lower Hillhead, Lerwick - will be open from 1.30pm to 4.45pm this week.
Computers need to be pre-booked and users are restricted to an hour. Face coverings must be worn and hands sanitised on arrival. Only six PCs will be used at a time to allow for good distancing, and the workstations will be disinfected between users. Customers will be asked for a telephone number so they can be contacted if need be for the Scottish Government’s Test and Protect programme.
Use of computers is free, and there are also scanners and printers available.
The Library hopes to increase the opening hours, and open up other parts of the library, as soon as possible. To book some time on a computer please call 01595 743868 or do so online at https://pcbookings.shetland-library.gov.uk/netloan/Login.aspx
