Shetland Library reopens today
Shetland Library will re-open to the public today (Mon 27th) with some changes to the way the service operates and to the library layout to ensure the safety of customers and staff.

Shetland Library’s ‘People’s Network’ computers can be used by the public again from today, Tuesday 21 July.
Late evening buses and ferries to begin again from next week
Local bus and inter-island ferry timetables will return to normal from next Monday (20th) including reinstatement of late evening services.
Housing Service repairs restart - update for tenants
A full repair service, accepting new routine calls, is expected to start from Monday 17th August. This date may be subject to change, depending on further government guidance.
Guidance issued for youth football training to restart
Football training for junior clubs in Shetland can now restart, as long as clubs adhere to guidance prepared by the Scottish Football Association (SFA).
Operational note – Travel cards
Applications for new National Entitlement Cards can now be processed. Card production, which ceased in early April due to the Coronavirus pandemic, has now resumed across Scotland.
Feedback sought on new Council website
Shetland Islands Council is giving the public a sneak preview of its new website, with a small-scale test site now live at https://beta.shetland.gov.uk/ with the opportunity to provide feedback.
Operational Note – Dales Leas traffic speed limit
Shetland Islands Council has imposed a mandatory speed limit of 20mph on the Dales Leas section of road on the A968 between Voe and Toft.
